About The Position

This position is an in-person opportunity based in St Kitts. Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (RUSVM) is the number one provider of Doctors of Veterinary Medicine (DVMs) to the U.S. and offers a DVM program that is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association Council on Education. Located on St. Kitts, RUSVM includes the Ross University Veterinary Clinic and is accredited by the American Animal Hospital Association. Requirements

  • Associate degree in Veterinary Technology or a related field required.
  • Current Certified, Licensed, or Registered Veterinary Technician/Nurse credential required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Certified Veterinary Technician/Nurse, or equivalent, required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory, team lead, or leadership experience required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using learning management and assessment platforms, such as Canvas and ExamSoft.
  • Experience with veterinary practice management software, preferably ProVet Cloud.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with supervision, technician training, and/or student support is beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting the smooth running of the RUVC, ensuring high standards of patient care, customer service, and student experience within the treatment room, labs, and offices.
  • Clinical duties, clinical oversight and support of the technician team, and supervision of veterinary assistants in training.
  • Teaching responsibilities and ensuring a positive student experience in the clinic.
  • On-call duties.
  • Input into the operational management of the clinic.
  • Maintaining AVMA and AAHA accreditation standards.
  • Addressing training requirements of the team.
  • Identifying career development opportunities.
  • Managing annual performance reviews.
  • Scheduling and management of timecards.
  • Ensuring the general maintenance and repair of the work area of responsibility.
  • Working closely with the Health and Safety team to ensure compliance with all regulations.
  • Managerial duties undertaken alongside any clinical, teaching, animal care, and on-call duties.
  • RUVC Clinical CVT position duties (85%).
  • Team management and development alongside the Clinic Director (15%).
  • Provide input for budget management, as well as facilities, IT, and equipment oversight.
