The Certified Instrument Technician - Sterile Processing is responsible for adhering to safety standards, identifying and responding to equipment malfunctions, and performing quality testing. This role involves the manual and mechanical cleaning of various types of instrumentation according to manufacturer instructions, as well as performing flexible scope processing utilizing High Level Disinfection (HLD). The technician will determine, prepare, and use necessary supplies for assembly, inspect and assemble instruments for cleanliness and functionality, and package and label instrumentation. Additionally, the technician will ensure the functionality, operation, monitoring, and maintenance of sterilization equipment, documenting the sterilization process, and performing high temperature (steam) and low temperature sterilization.
