The Certified Instrument Technician - Sterile Processing is responsible for adhering to safety standards, identifying and responding to equipment malfunctions, performing efficacy and quality testing, and processing various types of instrumentation. This role involves manual and mechanical cleaning, flexible scope processing using High Level Disinfection (HLD), preparing and using supplies for assembly, inspecting instruments for cleanliness and functionality, packaging and labeling instrumentation, and ensuring the proper functioning, monitoring, and documentation of sterilization processes. The technician will perform both high temperature (steam) and low temperature (gas plasma, ethylene oxide, liquid chemical) sterilization.
