About The Position
Sutter Health is seeking a Certified Home Hospice Aide to join their team. The successful candidate will provide personal care and household services to meet the hygiene, activities of daily living (ADL), and comfort needs of homebound patients. This role aligns with the affiliate mission, goals, and objectives of Sutter Care at Home - Valley.
Requirements
- Current HHA certification from CDPH.
- HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED).
- HHA-Home Health Aide certification.
- BLS-Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider certification.
- Automobile Insurance.
- Valid Driver's License.
- 1 year recent relevant experience.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare practices.
- Understanding of universal precautions.
- Ability to recognize the special needs and concerns of diverse groups of patients and others in the home.
- Ability to communicate with patients and significant others in an effective, mature, and caring manner.
- Tolerance for body secretions, odors, potential exposure to disease, and varied environmental conditions.

- Ability to solve customer-service related problems for internal and external customers.
- Competency is evaluated by written test and during joint visits in the care of patients.
