Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA)
About The Position
Home & Health Care Management is the oldest home health care agency in Northern California. Our agency specializes in delivering comprehensive in-home care and case management for older adults, children, and those living with disabilities across many counties. We use a matrix of Medi-Cal, Medicare and targeted health programs to find solutions that work for our clients. If you are looking for a caring and professional team to work with, you have found the right agency. This is not a position for Caregivers, or Registry Aides. We are accepting applications from Certified Home Health Aides who have completed training as a Home Health Aide and received the necessary license issued from the State of California. This is not a remote role and requires you to work reporting to our client's homes in Redding and surrounding counties. Part-time or Per-Diem work - Ranges from 2-29 hours per week, hours may vary. Strong possibility of full-time work in the next 90 to 180 days. You will need to travel to client’s homes within the Redding area and surrounding counties.
Requirements
- Completed an approved Home Health Aide training course and received Certification as Home Health Aide from the State of California
- Valid California Driver’s License
- Eligible to be insured under our liability policy with a clean DMV report
- Reliable transportation
- Proof of current auto insurance
- Negative TB skin test or chest X-ray
- Ability to pass a pre-employment criminal background check
- Current CPR certification
Nice To Haves
- Patient-interaction skills
- Experience with ADLs
- Experience with Hoyer Lifts
- Ability to multi-task and perform duties in a timely and orderly manner
Responsibilities
- Assists patient with personal care activities including bathing, oral hygiene, preparation and feeding of meals, dressing and undressing, ambulation, and other activities as needed
- Performs duties as assigned in an accurate and timely manner
- Notifies the office of any abnormal findings or conditions
