About The Position

Requirements

  • Valid Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification recognized in the United States.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to pass background checks and health screenings as required by state regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
  • Strong communication skills and basic literacy to document care activities accurately.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working as a Home Health Aide or in a similar caregiving role.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Additional training or certification in specialized care areas such as dementia or palliative care.
  • Bilingual abilities to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Provide basic health-related services including monitoring vital signs and reporting any changes to nursing staff.
  • Support patients with medication reminders and adherence under the supervision of healthcare professionals.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for patients within their homes.
  • Document care provided and communicate effectively with the healthcare team to ensure continuity of care.
  • Offer emotional support and companionship to patients to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control standards, and patient confidentiality regulations.
