Requirements

Valid New Jersey Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification required
Prior experience in home care, assisted living, or a related healthcare setting preferred
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient, empathetic demeanor
Ability to assist with physical tasks including lifting and transferring clients
Reliable transportation and ability to commute to client homes in the Ocean County, NJ area
Must pass background check and meet all state compliance requirements

Responsibilities

Provide personal care assistance including bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support
Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and ambulation to ensure safety and comfort
Monitor and document client health status, reporting changes to supervising staff
Administer medication reminders and assist with prescribed exercises or therapies
Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation for clients
Offer companionship and emotional support to promote client well-being
Accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
