CHHA, Certified Home Health Aide, Adult Personal Care- ACSP
About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care’s ACSP Division is hiring Home Health Aides (HHAs/CHHAs) to provide compassionate, one-on-one care to clients in their homes across Camden, Burlington, Gloucester, Cumberland, and Salem Counties. Aides provide care based on a written plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse, helping clients remain safe, comfortable, and independent. Training may be available for qualified candidates, including training opportunities and assistance with the New Jersey Board of Nursing CHHA application process. Spanish-speaking candidates are welcome. Day, evening, and weekend shifts are available, and virtual and in-person interviews are offered. BAYADA offers weekly pay, flexible scheduling, paid time off including vacation and sick time, scholarship programs, direct deposit, PPE, supportive office and clinical staff, and 24/7 support. Additional offerings include a $500 referral bonus for a referral who becomes a CHHA and $2 per hour of additional pay for holidays. The company aims to match aides with clients close to home and provides opportunities to build meaningful relationships with clients.
Requirements
- Be compassionate, patient, dependable, and respectful.
- Be passionate about helping others and committed to providing quality care.
- Be able to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
- Be comfortable working independently with clients.
- For experienced HHA/CHHA applicants, hold a current CHHA/HHA credential in good standing with the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
- Previous caregiving or home health experience when required for the position.
Nice To Haves
- Previous home health care or patient care experience is welcome but may not always be required.
- Spanish-speaking candidates are welcome.
- Qualified candidates may be eligible for training.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one care based on a written plan of care under the direction of a registered nurse.
- Assist with bathing, grooming, toileting, dressing, and personal hygiene.
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Perform light housekeeping, laundry, bed making, and other household tasks.
- Assist clients with ambulation and transfers.
- Assist with range-of-motion exercises.
- Check vital signs.
- Provide companionship and emotional support.
- Help clients maintain their independence at home.
