About The Position
Senior Helpers, a leading nationwide provider of in-home senior care services, is seeking Certified Home Health Aides (CHHA) to join our team in Ocean County. We have part-time and full-time caregiver positions available. As a Certified Home Health Aide, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and quality care to our senior clients in their homes. This is an individual contributor role that requires professionalism, reliability, and a genuine interest in helping others.
Requirements
- Valid New Jersey Home Health Aide Certification (CHHA)
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
- Minimum of 1 year experience in a home care or long-term care setting.
- Knowledge of basic personal care and hygiene skills.
- Compassionate and patient demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Provide care and assistance to senior clients in accordance with their individual care plans.
- Assist with medication reminders, grooming, bathing, and other activities of daily living.
- Monitor and report any changes in client's physical, emotional or mental condition to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for clients.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in activities to promote physical and mental stimulation.
- Communicate effectively with clients and their families, as well as the Senior Helpers team.
