About The Position
Village Academy, located within Village Behavioral Health in Louisville, TN, is seeking a Certified High School Math Teacher for the 2026–2027 academic year. This position serves students in a structured, therapeutic educational setting and requires a highly skilled educator committed to supporting students with diverse academic and behavioral needs. This position is a traditional Monday-Friday schedule with a starting annual salary of $50k-$55k.
Requirements
- Valid Tennessee teaching license with high school math endorsement
- Experience teaching secondary math content
- Strong knowledge of differentiated instruction and progress monitoring
- Ability to maintain a structured, consistent classroom environment
Nice To Haves
- Experience working in alternative, special education, or therapeutic settings
- Familiarity with trauma-informed practices and behavioral supports
- Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging math instruction aligned with TN standards
- Implement individualized supports based on student needs and IEP goals
- Maintain accurate and compliant documentation of student progress
- Collaborate with clinical, residential, and educational staff
