About The Position
Preferred Care at Home of Coastal Volusia is seeking Certified HHAs/CNAs for immediate openings in New Smyrna Beach. This role involves providing essential in-home care services to clients, enabling them to maintain their independence and dignity. The company is dedicated to improving the lives of clients in the Coastal and West Volusia areas.
Requirements
- 21 years or older with high school diploma or GED
- Valid CNA license or HHA training + other required certifications
- Current level 2 background check
- Current First Aid certification (BLS, AED, etc)
- Ability to drive clients, active car insurance
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and respect for clients' privacy
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Help with mobility, transferring, and positioning of clients
- Monitor vital signs and report any changes to the nurse or supervisor
- Assist clients with medication reminders
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Complete required documentation and reports accurately and timely
