Develops and implements occupational therapy treatment plans for assigned patients; evaluates and modifies patient care treatments as appropriate. This role involves creating a destination, experience-based service, delivering customized experiences using patient’s profiles. The therapist will complete initial occupational therapy evaluations, develop a treatment plan of care, and coordinate the acquisition of needed adaptive devices, durable medical equipment, and orthoses. They will design, implement, and modify therapeutic interventions, provide occupational therapy treatment to restore or maintain patient’s ADL skills, and document patient treatments, evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries. The position also includes performing re-evaluations, communicating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, providing guidance to assigned staff (including a COTA), instructing patients and families, scheduling treatments, maintaining equipment, and ordering supplies. The role also requires ongoing development of clinical skills and adherence to organizational policies.
