About The Position

SportsCare & Armworks is excited to welcome a dedicated and motivated Occupational or Physical therapist to join our large hand team with an enthusiastic attitude to grow and develop their skills as a hand therapist in our Salem clinic location for immediate hire. We are proud to offer a mentorship program for Occupational or Physical therapists who are interested in becoming a CHT. We have a well-defined and proven mentorship program that has allowed us to walk alongside 1-2 therapists a year over the past 10 years to achieve their CHT goal!

Requirements

Graduate from an accredited college with an AOTA curriculum.
Current state of OR occupational therapy license.
Current CHT license.
CPR certification.
Experience in splinting preferred, or a strong willingness to learn splinting techniques.
Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Ability to multitask while providing an exceptional experience.
Passion for occupational therapy, hand therapy and patient care.
Enjoys working in a dynamic and multi therapist team environment.

Nice To Haves

Mentorship program (additional benefits for non-CHT)
An individualized mentorship plan with a CHT is offered for a newer hand therapist
$500 for CHT exam (first attempt)

Responsibilities

Treat post-traumatic, surgical, and repetitive strain injuries of the elbow, wrist and hand.
Act as a coach, guide and educator for patients.
Provide 45-minute one-on-one treatment sessions.
Manage a caseload of 11 treatments per day.
Utilize a charting slot built into the schedule.
