About The Position

Greater Philadelphia Health Action, Inc. (GPHA) is a non-profit healthcare organization founded in 1970, committed to providing compassionate and affordable healthcare services. GPHA has grown to be a leading provider of primary and behavioral healthcare in the Greater Philadelphia area. We are currently seeking full-time Family Peer Specialists for our Behavioral Healthcare Division to support Intensive Behavioral Health Services (IBHS). This role requires the ability to share personal recovery experiences and build authentic peer-to-peer relationships, demonstrating a belief in recovery, hope, optimism, and a sincere interest in the welfare of peers. The specialist must be willing to share their own recovery experience and engage individuals flexibly based on their needs and receptivity.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Psychology or related field and three (3) years of administrative experience in substance abuse/mental health related social service area with certification in peer specialist support
OR High School Diploma with certification in peer specialist support
Knowledge of addiction/recovery
Experience working with persons living with an addiction.
