About The Position
Provide standards-based instruction aligned to the Arkansas Academic Standards and district curriculum. Deliver high-quality, evidence-based instruction grounded in the Science of Reading to meet the diverse needs of all students.
Requirements
- Valid Arkansas teaching license or acceptance into a DESE-approved Alternative Licensure Program in K-6 Elementary Education
- Knowledge of the Science of Reading
- Completion of, or willingness to obtain, required R.I.S.E. credentials
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver standards-based instruction
- Implement systematic literacy instruction aligned to the Science of Reading
- Differentiate instruction to meet student needs
- Assess and monitor student progress
- Maintain a safe and effective classroom environment
- Communicate with parents/guardians regularly
- Participate in professional development and collaborative planning
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with requirements
- Integrate instructional technology
- Demonstrate professionalism and flexibility
- Perform other duties as assigned
