About The Position

Prep Academy Tutors is seeking elementary school teachers and tutors to provide in-home tutoring in the Lakewood Ranch area. The company provides educational support across subjects for students of all ages. Tutors support students using the Florida curriculum, create personalized learning plans, and provide remedial or enrichment instruction. The role also involves communicating with parents about students’ progress, challenges, and successes. Tutors can set their own schedules and student loads, with access to professional development and a collaborative network of colleagues.

Requirements

• Meet at least one of the following criteria: hold current, valid registration with the Florida Department of Education; be a qualified teacher in the United States or in the process of becoming one; be a current teacher candidate pursuing a Bachelor of Education; or have experience as a lecturer or course instructor at an accredited U.S. or Canadian university.
• Be an energetic, enthusiastic, driven, and compassionate educator committed to student success and excellence.

Responsibilities
