Oriana House is participating in Lorain County Community College's Ohio Behavioral Health Apprenticeship Program. This program, developed in collaboration with Lorain County Community College, Ohio Alliance of Recovery Providers (OARP), ApprenticeOhio, and the Ohio Department of Behavioral Health, offers a comprehensive pathway to a career in behavioral health. Starting as a Chemical Dependency Counselor Assistant (CDCA), participants can ultimately work towards an Associate Degree and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor II (LCDCII) licensure. Participants earn $15/hour to start and advance to $18/hour as they complete their on-the-job training. The program includes intensive, expert-led instruction, coursework, and on-the-job training, secures college credit toward an Associate Degree from Lorain County Community College, and offers financial assistance for tuition costs.
