About The Position

The team at Square One Dental Centre in Mississauga, Ontario is seeking a passionate and dedicated Certified Level II Dental Assistant for a maternity leave position, with the potential to transition into a full-time role. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have experience assisting with a wide range of dental procedures, along with strong communication skills and proficiency in intraoral scanning (iTero). Requirements

  • Be a certified Level II Dental Assistant
  • minimum of 3 years of experience
  • Demonstrate a positive and professional attitude
  • Uphold high standards of patient care
  • Be available to work evenings and weekends
  • Thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
  • Dental Assistant Certification
  • Previous experience in a dental clinic
  • Proficiency in digital scanning systems
  • Strong communication and patient-care skills and good customer service.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of infection control and sterilization protocols.
  • Successful completion of a Dental Assisting Certificate.
  • Level II and HARP certification (required).
  • Valid CPR certification (required).
  • Flexible schedule with availability for evening and weekend shifts based on business needs.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Punctual and reliable with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt and respond effectively to a variety of patients.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous dental assisting experience is preferred (3+ years).
  • Proficiency in intraoral scanning (iTero preferred).
  • Experience with dental practice management software (such as Tracker) is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Set up treatment rooms and ensure and maintain a clean and organized workspace, including disinfecting operatories and sterilizing instruments.
  • Support dentist procedures, ensuring comfort and safety for all patients.
  • Provide patient education.
  • Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, ensuring readiness for daily operations
  • Perform iTero digital scans, X-ray's efficiently.
  • IPAC Certified (Infection and Prevention Controls)
  • Provide patient care before, during, and after procedures.
  • Manage dental records, charts, and documentation as needed.
  • Support the front desk with scheduling or administrative tasks when required.
