About The Position

BC Perio Dental Health & Implant Centre in Vancouver is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Dental Assistant to join their team on a full-time basis. This is a periodontal & prosthodontic office located on the Broadway corridor, close to transit. They are looking for an ideal candidate with a positive attitude, strong CDA skills, a team-player mentality, and attention to detail.

Requirements

Strong CDA Skills (Experience and Certification are a must!)
Currently registered and licensed with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals (BCCOHP)
A minimum of 2 years of experience is required

Responsibilities

Assist the doctors chair side for surgical and prosthetic procedures
Seat and prepare patients for appointments, such as new patient exams, non-surgical and surgical treatments, and follow-ups
Provide oral hygiene instruction and post-operative instructions to patients and escorts
Conduct post-op appointments, including suture and dressing removal
Take dental radiographs and CBCT
Sterilization of instruments and equipment
Maintain professional rapport with team members, patients, and referring doctors and their teams
Maintain complete and accurate clinical records, including preparing treatment plans and consent forms
Acquire dental photographs, intra and extra-oral radiographs
Coordinate with the team to ensure smooth patient flow
