About The Position
Northern Dental Care, located in Sault Ste Marie, ON, is seeking a passionate and hard-working Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) for a full-time, permanent position. The ideal candidate will be a valuable team player, assisting the Dentist with outstanding treatment, preparing the treatment room, and ensuring dental equipment and instruments are ready for patient arrival. This large clinic is looking for a positive and energetic individual who focuses on patient education, oral hygiene instruction, and performing specific, supervised intra-oral procedures to prevent dental diseases. Requirements
- Completion of a Certified/Registered Dental Assisting Level II
- Registered or in process of registering with the Ontario Dental Assistant Association
- NDAEB Certified - Mandatory
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families
- Customer service mindset

- Experience with dental practice management software such as Dentrix is considered an asset
Responsibilities
- Equip the Dentist through providing outstanding treatment assistance
- Prepare the treatment room and dental equipment/instruments for patient arrival
- Focus on patient education
- Provide oral hygiene instruction
- Perform specific, supervised intra-oral procedures to prevent dental diseases like cavities and gingivitis
- Perform tasks such as polishing, fluoride application, and taking impressions
