About The Position

The Certified CVOR Surgical Technologist Lead at HCA HealthONE Aurora provides leadership in the operating room and supports safe, advanced cardiac and vascular care. Working alongside the cardiac team, the lead prepares operating rooms and equipment, scrubs in for complex procedures, and helps maintain a safe, sterile environment. The position also mentors surgical technologists, reinforces best practices, oversees quality and safety procedures, and supports teamwork and efficiency, including for on-call and emergency cases.

Requirements

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Surgical Technologist Certificate.
• Two years of experience required.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Organize operating suites, equipment, and instruments to prepare for procedures.
• Scrub in and support surgeons during complex cardiac surgeries by anticipating their needs and maintaining a safe, sterile environment.
• Guide and mentor surgical technologists, train new team members, and reinforce best practices.
• Manage counts and specimens and ensure compliance with infection prevention standards.
• Promote teamwork and efficiency through communication, rapid problem-solving, and support for on-call and emergency cases.
