About The Position

NewYork-Presbyterian is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CT Technologist to join their team. This role involves operating CT equipment and utilizing knowledge of Radiology Information Systems, PACSs, and digital data transfer processes, under the direction of a radiologist and supervision of a department supervisor. While not a supervisory role, the CT Technologist is critical in maintaining quality standards to support the clinical team. The position offers the opportunity to use expertise in CT technology to assist with diagnosing rare and complex cases and expand knowledge alongside respected professionals in the field. The role requires on-site presence and employees must live within a commutable distance to NYP.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
  • New York State Radiology license in Radiography and maintain current New York State registration in Radiography
  • New York State certification for intravascular contrast media injection or obtain such certification within six (6) months of hire or transfer
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration in Radiography (R)
  • ARRT certification and registration in Computed Tomography (CT) or current NMTCB (CT) certification, or, if not currently held, must satisfy the applicable eligibility requirements and obtain CT certification within six (6) months of hire or transfer
  • Proficiency with EMR, RIS, HIS, PACS, and modality-specific software
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • Minimum of one year experience in diagnostic imaging
  • Previous relevant experience in CT

Responsibilities

  • Operate CT equipment

  • Maintain all required continuing education and renewal requirements for New York State and ARRT/NMTCB credentials
