About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician to join our healthcare team. The technician performs hemodialysis treatments and supports patients undergoing dialysis. The role includes operating and maintaining hemodialysis equipment, monitoring patients during treatment, administering heparin as ordered, evaluating treatment responses, providing emotional support, maintaining accurate electronic medical records, and following infection control procedures. Requirements

Certification as a Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) through a recognized national certification program.
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in hemodialysis patient care.
Current BLS certification.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate hemodialysis equipment according to prescribed protocols and procedures.
Monitor patients' vital signs and ensure treatment is progressing safely and effectively.
Administer heparin as ordered by the healthcare team.
Evaluate patients' responses to treatment and report changes or abnormalities to nursing staff or a physician.
Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients during treatment.
Assist in maintaining and calibrating hemodialysis equipment.
Comply with infection control policies and procedures.
Document patient care activities accurately and promptly in electronic medical records.
Participate in ongoing training and continuing education programs.
