About The Position

As the Practice Coordinator at Community Medical Center, you’ll work alongside our Lifepoint Health Support Center (HSC) team in embracing our vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier ®. Job Summary: Collects, decontaminates, stores and distributes all reusable supplies and patient care equipment in the hospital.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Central Sterile Technician (CSR) certification within 6 months of hire
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provides inspection, decontamination, assembly, and sterilization of instruments and other patient care equipment in accordance with processing guidelines, AAMI, AORN, TJC, and OSHA requirements.
  • Operates departmental equipment daily according to manufacturer instructions with emphasis on safety.
  • Provides customer service to all departments with a focus on the patient need.
  • Processes and documents all sterile supplies and equipment daily using chemical, biological and mechanical indicators to verify sterility in accordance with manufacturer instructions and hospital policy.
  • Monitors and performs antimicrobial and disinfection solutions testing according to manufacturer instructions and documentation daily.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
