About The Position
The Central Sterile Supply Technician cleans, assembles, sterilizes, and distributes instruments and instrument sets. The role also assembles and distributes case carts for surgery, including preparing carts from pick tickets and delivering them to the surgery staging room. The technician maintains accurate records of sterilization and biological tests and complies with the hospital-wide infection prevention and control program. The position collaborates primarily with Surgery and also with other nursing units.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- CRCST (Certified Registered Central Sterile Technician) or CSPDT (Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician) certification.
