About The Position

We are seeking a Certified Caregiver to work full time for our Homecare Program in our Independent Living. Your role is to provide hands on care and assist residents as needed with their care and ADLs along with being a companion to the residents. Assists with helping to keep resident’s apartments tidy and other domestic duties as requested by the residents. Be a companion and keep our seniors active while encouraging and respecting their independence.

Requirements

• Current Arizona Caregiver/Med Tech Certificate required
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicate effectively, and document care
• Someone who provides high levels of customer care with compassion and heart
• Comfortable being on your feet for extended periods of time
• Maintain safe and sanitary work conditions
• Flu vaccine required

Responsibilities

• Ambulation and transfer assistance
• Toileting, bathing, and grooming assistance
• Wake up services and dressing assistance
• Meal preparation
• Organizational help
• Ambulation support (pushing a wheel chair or accompanying for balance)
• Errands (grocery and household goods shopping, etc.)
• Companionship
• Schedule and medication reminders
• Maintain service plan tracking of all services performed
• Know and understand resident’s expectations and meet those expectations within community policy
• Inform Supervisor of any changing conditions that affect the resident’s ability to function independently
