About The Position

Gold Coast Center for Veterinary Care is seeking a certified canine rehabilitation professional to join its Physical Rehabilitation Department full-time. The role is based in a state-of-the-art referral hospital with a collaborative team and a strong commitment to rehabilitation medicine as a specialty.

The department provides inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation using a range of services, modalities, and equipment, including underwater treadmill therapy, custom orthotics, home exercise programs, weight-loss management, client education, assistive devices, therapeutic laser, electrical stimulation, therapeutic massage, therapeutic exercises, therapeutic ultrasound, and exercise equipment.

Requirements

• Active CCRVT, CCRP, and/or CCAT certification.
• New York State veterinary technician license.
• Deep knowledge of rehabilitation protocols, modalities, and patient assessment.
• Strong communication skills for client education and team collaboration.
• Drive for clinical excellence and passion for elevating patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical rehabilitation services to veterinary patients, including inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation.
• Use rehabilitation modalities and equipment such as underwater treadmills, therapeutic laser, electrical stimulation, therapeutic massage, therapeutic exercises, and therapeutic ultrasound.
• Develop or support home exercise programs, custom orthotics, weight-loss management, and use of assistive devices.
• Educate clients about rehabilitation and collaborate with the veterinary team.
• Assess patients and apply appropriate rehabilitation protocols.
