Certified Building Engineer
About The Position
The Certified Building Engineer holds full responsibility for the management and operation of facility services within mission-critical environments. Serving as the primary ABM point of contact for daily operations, this role supports site leadership in overseeing all building systems, including HVAC, mechanical, and electrical infrastructure. Key responsibilities include maintenance and repair of hard surfaces, basic carpentry and metalwork, and the operation and upkeep of facility system equipment. The Certified Building Engineer also handles customer service requests, manages work orders, and performs additional duties as assigned. This role is instrumental in fostering a culture of safety and reliability, building and leading a team of Critical Facility Technicians, Assistant Chief Engineers, and external contractors to achieve 100% operational availability. A strong emphasis is placed on continuous improvement, staff development, and operational excellence.
