About The Position
Athletic Trainer – Northern Potter Area High School Athletic Trainer – Northern Potter Area High School Turn your passion for sports medicine into a rewarding career supporting local student-athletes. UPMC is seeking a full-time Athletic Trainer to provide injury prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and event coverage for Northern Potter Area High School.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Athletic Training or a related field.
- Board of Certification (BOC) Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC).
- Licensed Athletic Trainer in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
- Current Emergency Cardiac Care certification, including: Adult and pediatric CPR, AED, Airway obstruction management, Two-rescuer CPR, Use of barrier devices (pocket mask, bag valve mask)
- CPR certification meeting AHA standards, including both didactic and skills demonstration components, within 30 days of hire.
- Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance (with renewal)
- Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance (with renewal)
- Act 114 FBI Fingerprint Clearance (with renewal)
- Act 168 Employment History Review
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and treat athletic injuries.
- Develop rehabilitation and return-to-play plans.
- Provide first aid and emergency care during practices and competitions.
- Collaborate with physicians, coaches, athletes, and families.
- Educate athletes on injury prevention and recovery.
- Serve as the school's trusted sports medicine resource.
