About The Position

The Cameron County School District is seeking a Full-Time Athletic Trainer to provide expert care and support to student-athletes. This role involves injury prevention, assessment, and rehabilitation, working closely with physicians, coaches, and families in a dynamic school environment. The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus with a two-year commitment.

Requirements

Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) through the Board of Certification (BOC).
Licensed as an Athletic Trainer in Pennsylvania.
Must have Emergency Cardiac Care certification covering adult & pediatric CPR, AED use, airway obstruction, two-rescuer CPR, and barrier devices (e.g., pocket mask, bag valve mask).
CPR certification must meet AHA standards and include both classroom and hands-on skills within 30 days of hire.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

Evaluate athletes’ conditions, develop personalized rehabilitation plans, and make recommendations regarding safe return to play.
Deliver therapeutic interventions to relieve pain and restore function, while maintaining accurate patient records and progress notes.
Teach athletes, families, and coaches about injury prevention and recovery strategies.
Provide on-site care during practices and games, including emergency first aid when needed.
Promote the Sports Medicine Center through positive relationships with schools and local organizations.
Assist with budgeting and ensure smooth coordination of athletic training services.
