About The Position

Olympic Sports & Spine (OSS), a leading provider of school-based athletic training services in Western Washington, is seeking a full-time Certified Athletic Trainer to join their team and serve Franklin Pierce High School. The role involves providing comprehensive athletic training services for student-athletes throughout the school year, including attending games and practices, providing injury treatment, developing preventive programs, and managing emergencies. The ATC will also communicate injury status and treatment plans to relevant parties, conduct thorough injury evaluations, and oversee rehabilitation and return-to-play programs, including concussion screening. The position requires attending all practices and games, including travel to away games and various community and sporting events.

Requirements

Hold a degree in athletic training.
BOC-certified.
BLS certification.
Licensed in Washington State.

Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive athletic training services for an assigned high school throughout the school year.
Attend games and practices.
Provide training room treatment for injuries.
Develop preventive programs to minimize sports-related injuries.
Manage emergencies involving student-athlete injuries.
Communicate injuries and treatment plans to coaches, athletes, parents, and team physicians.
Complete a thorough and accurate athletic injury evaluation.
Provide first aid and immediate care for acute injuries.
Assess, develop, implement, and oversee appropriate rehabilitation and return-to-play programs for athletes.
Conduct concussion screening.
Attend all practices and games, including traveling with the team to away games, community events, state championships, parks & rec league sports, and signature events.
