The Athletic Trainer serves as the primary healthcare professional for the school's interscholastic athletic program. The Athletic Trainer reports to the Athletic Director for administrative matters but operates under the clinical direction of a licensed Directing Physician in accordance with Massachusetts state law. The Athletic Trainer is responsible for the prevention, evaluation, treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-play management for student-athletes across all sports while promoting the health and safety of all student-athletes. At Mount Greylock Regional School, athletics are an extension of the classroom. We believe participation in interscholastic athletics provides meaningful opportunities for students to develop leadership, resilience, teamwork, sportsmanship, and personal responsibility. The Athletic Trainer is an integral member of our educational community, supporting the health, safety, and well-being of student-athletes while helping them reach their full potential both on and off the field.
