About The Position
Ortho Central is a comprehensive orthopedic care provider with expert teams including orthopedic surgeons, sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, and workers’ compensation specialists. They have three convenient locations in central Oklahoma: Midwest City, Tri City, and Norman. Their skilled providers evaluate and treat a wide range of orthopedic injuries, from high school athletes to retirees needing knee replacements, including sports-related fractures, foot and ankle surgery, and hip, knee, and shoulder reconstructive surgery.
Requirements
- Bachelors required
- Strong understanding of challenges athletes face, proper nutrition, sports injuries, and treatment options.
- Understanding of first-aid treatments, massage, and physical therapy techniques and equipment.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and attentive.
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, decision making, and communication skills.
- Oklahoma State license or Board eligible with Temporary Letter for Athletic Trainer is required
- Must have NATABOC certification
- (BLS) Basic Life Support (CPR) must be kept current during tenure with Norman Regional Health System.
- Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License.
Nice To Haves
- Masters preferred
- Prefer at least 5 years of experience in an orthopedic setting providing direct patient care.
- Experience working in conjunction with orthopedic/sports medicine physicians.
