Elite CareTigard, OR
$22 - $27Onsite

About The Position

As a CADC with us, you play a vital role in providing both 1:1 and group support to residents dealing with substance use, addictions (current or past), and co-occurring disorders. Working within a collaborative interdisciplinary team, you'll build supportive relationships and engage residents in activities that cultivate motivation for change, offering a safe environment to explore the impact of substances on their lives. You'll work with the rest of the behavioral support team to strategically employ positive behavior support and motivational enhancement to encourage harm reduction and foster collaborative safety goals. Our highest aim is to create an atmosphere where residents feel empowered to openly identify and discuss their triggers, goals, struggles, and achievements. Daily responsibilities include working closely with residents, utilizing motivational interviewing, life engagement, and a harm reduction framework to deliver support for developing healthy coping mechanisms. You'll tailor support to each resident's individual and changing needs, whether delivered individually or in a group setting. As a strong CADC, you will learn to leverage your understanding from these interactions to effectively partner with the care planning team on harm reduction strategies and motivational enhancement, always upholding resident rights. You will also be responsible for establishing and documenting appropriate support and interventions for behaviors linked to substance use or addiction. Integral to the role, we'd like you to support the implementation of identified staff interventions, which encompasses staff teachings, training, and coaching. This involves seamless collaboration within the behavior support and interdisciplinary teams and consistent communication with residents and support systems.
