About The Position
Clarvida is seeking a Substance Abuse Counselor to provide services to adult clients in the community, focusing on substance abuse and other mental health issues. This role involves conducting initial and ongoing assessments of client strengths, substance abuse, mental health needs, and biophysical histories. The counselor will meet with clients regularly to provide individual and group counseling, intervention techniques, and crisis assessments, and will link clients to community resources as needed.
Requirements
- Active status of at least one of the following certifications: CAC-I, CAC-II, GCADC-I, CADC, CADC-T or CCIT
- Valid GA driver’s license, automobile insurance, and reliable transportation
- Satisfactory results of Criminal Background Check
Responsibilities
