About The Position

Central Unified School District seeks dedicated individuals to support its students, families, and community. A substitute teacher works on an on-call, day-to-day basis and is expected to perform the functions of the substitute position satisfactorily. Under the direction of the site administrator and the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources or designee, the substitute serves as needed in short-term or long-term day-to-day assignments. Assignments may be at the elementary, middle school, high school, continuation high school, preschool, special education, adult education, opportunity, or independent study levels.

Applicants must submit the required documents to move forward in the application process. Copies of a valid credential or substitute permit must include its expiration date and document number. Cell phone photographs of documents are not accepted.

Requirements

• Provide a copy of a valid credential or substitute permit that includes the expiration date and document number.
• Provide CBEST documentation or meet one of the Basic Skills Requirement options.
• Submit a resume.
• Submit three letters of recommendation dated within 18 months of the application.
• Cell phone photo copies of documents are not accepted.

Responsibilities
