About The Position

The primary purpose is to review and analyze certificate of need applications proposing new health services and prepare detailed written findings to conditionally approve or deny them based on certificate of need (CON) statutory criteria and regulations. Defend decisions in administrative hearings. Analyze and draft written responses to provider inquiries regarding whether the CON Law is applicable to planned health care transactions, and monitor the development of approved projects having received certificates of need.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution in Health Administration, Public Health, Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, Juris Doctorate or Certified Public Accountant, and two years of experience in health care financing, health care administration, program evaluation, or closely related field; or Bachelor’s degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years of the above experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Intermediate skills in MS Access.
