About The Position

The Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) will utilize appropriate exercises, manual therapy techniques, and physical agents to aid in executing the established plan of care. The OTA must be able to document findings in compliance with state and federal requirements. This role requires the ability and willingness to work in multiple clinical settings such as outpatient, acute, inpatient units, as staffing requires. The position reports to the Director of Rehab Services.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an AOTA approved school with an Associate Degree in O.T.
  • Current State of Texas licensure
  • Certification by AOTA
  • Obtain and maintain American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certification
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Pass a Background Check
  • Pass Lab Work screening
  • Provide Immunization Records
  • Ability to be mobile
  • Ability to talk to patient and/or staff
  • Ability to hear patients and/or alarms
  • Vision (near and/or far)
  • Ability to distinguish colors

Nice To Haves

  • One year of clinical experience as an Occupational Therapist Assistant is desired.
