The Program Director is responsible for guiding CERC to fulfill its mission in the best way possible by working with the staff to form plans of approach for various challenges. This role involves strategic planning, relationship management with partners, contract and development responsibilities, fiscal management, deployment management and supervision, and direct supervision of CERC Staff including Project Coordinators and AmeriCorps Members. The Program Director will also be responsible for ensuring the program operates within budget and for approving expenses and timesheets. Additionally, the role requires responding to deployment requests, managing budgets for deployments, assigning staff, and supervising deployments which may involve spontaneous travel for on-site supervision. The Program Director acts as a supervisor and advocate for Project Coordinators, providing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations. They are also responsible for reviewing and auditing AmeriCorps Member files and ensuring Project Coordinators fulfill their responsibilities. All CERC staff, including the Program Director, have organizational requirements such as approving BACR paperwork, timely submission of necessary documents, leading strategic planning, and participating in trainings and events. The Program Director is expected to be willing to take on additional responsibilities as needed.
