The School of Visual and Performing Arts at Endicott College is seeking individuals to teach Ceramics I (Two Sections) in the Fall 2026 semester. This in-person lecture course focuses on developing an appreciation for the craft through understanding the basic methods and techniques of designing and creating with clay. Students will explore pinch forming, coil building, and slab forming, engaging in projects to develop creative ideas and experiment with sculptural works, form, and function. The course also covers creating textures and surface treatments, learning clay terminology through critiques, and discussing technical and aesthetic aspects of design, process, and sculptural characteristics. The semester runs from September 1 to December 18, with classes meeting on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:00 AM - 11:50 AM and 12:00 PM - 1:50 PM.
