About The Position

DAI offers a positive working atmosphere that fosters teamwork and an appreciation of all our employees. This role is responsible for finishing and repairing ceramic hardware product & airfoils in accordance with standard operating procedures and customer supplied specifications. The position also involves coordinating shipping and receiving processes, preparing outgoing shipments, receiving incoming shipments, and safely operating a company van for local product transportation.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Strong fine motor skills with ability to handle fragile parts
Use of precision handheld air grinder and measuring devices (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
Experience in a manufacturing environment
Good communication skills
Excellent attendance & dependability a must
Willingness to cross-train in other company job functions is expected

Responsibilities

Coordinate the shipping and receiving processes of preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments.
Safely operate a company van while locally transporting product.
Finish and repair ceramic hardware product and airfoils using handheld and free-standing equipment and tools.
Visually inspect product and identify defects.
Maintain required documentation and paperwork.
Produce quality ceramic cores, meeting production goals and quality requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
Communicate effectively with manager, lead person, quality inspectors, engineering, and fellow operators.
Assure proper completion of end of shift duties including production reporting, required TPM, and 6S activities.
Know and follow all company safety rules and regulations.
Follow documented job specific work instructions.
