About The Position

Handex is seeking Field Centrifuge Operators for a new project involving industrial dewatering and processing operations at client sites. The company is a full-service environmental company founded in 1968 with over 58 years of experience. Successful candidates will have opportunities to support various client projects in the North/Southeast and Midwest regions upon project completion.

Requirements

  • High school diploma/GED.
  • 2+ years of centrifuge operating experience with intricate knowledge of 2 phase and 3 phase decanter centrifuge operations.
  • Willingness to travel and work effectively at remote project sites.
  • Ability to work 12-hour shifts with flexible rotational schedules, including nights, weekends, and overtime.
  • Excellent team players with good communication skills, reliability, and a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Comfortable being in an industrial/refinery setting both indoors and outside as well as confined spaces.
  • Able to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and a driver's license in good standing.
  • Must have a Real ID or a valid passport.
  • Must pass pre-employment background checks which include physical/drug/alcohol/MVR/criminal.

  • Military industrial/mechanical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with industrial and dewatering/sludge removal at client sites as part of the HIS team.
  • Receive work direction from the on-site supervisor or PM, follow instructions carefully, maintain open and effective communication, and proactively handle challenges.
  • Monitor and operate maximum centrifuge feed capacities, including conditioning centrifuge feed stock through polymer injection and the use of various chemical additives.
  • Operate special equipment, such as positive displacement pumps and polymer blending systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Operate light and heavy equipment including skid steers, forklifts, pressure washers and mechanical tools.
  • Learn, understand, and comply with all safety work practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Accurately maintain and promptly process expenses and timesheets.
  • Represent Handex professionally, collaborate effectively with teammates, and maintain respectful and positive working relationships.
