About The Position

Under the general supervision of the Director of Central Supply, the Central Supply Technician manages inventory and distributes supplies to assigned user departments to ensure stock levels meet established requirements. The technician performs duties according to the job’s established performance standards.

The position may involve access to confidential patient, employee, or proprietary hospital information. The technician must handle and protect such information in accordance with hospital and system policies, HIPAA requirements, and high ethical standards. The technician also reports security events, potential events, and other security risks; participates in and completes patient safety initiatives appropriate to the position; and performs responsibilities in accordance with Martin County Hospital’s mission and values.

Requirements

• Familiarity with sterile technique and its application.
• Knowledge of supplies and inventory systems.
• Ability to operate personal computers.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• CNA or LVN certification preferred.
• One to two years of prior experience in material management preferred.
