About The Position

We are hiring for a Central Supply Distribution Technician position in the Sterile Process Department at Providence Alaska Medical Center in Anchorage, AK! This role is responsible for managing a multi-million-dollar surgical instrument, implant, and equipment inventory. The technician provides leadership in the hospital's efforts to reduce instrument costs, using discretion and judgment to balance clinical needs with financial responsibility. They maintain productive, professional relationships with SPD, OR, and General Stores personnel, clinical staff, sales representatives, and repair services. Key duties include maintaining instrument and implant par levels, min/max and reorder points, making recommendations regarding the purchase of additional instrument and implant sets, and coordinating ordering, receiving, and distribution of instruments, implants, and supplies. This also includes coordinating instrument and equipment repairs, product exchanges with other hospitals, and product and equipment recalls. Accurate instrument tray count sheets must be maintained. Requirements

1 year Surgical Supply Management, Medical Logistics/Materials Management or equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's Degree
Certified Healthcare Leader - Healthcare Sterile Processing Association.
3 years' experience with surgical instrumentation and/or implants.
