Central Stores and Supply Distribution Aide
About The Position
UR Medicine Finger Lakes Health is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Central Stores & Supply Distribution Aide to join the team at Geneva General Hospital. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys staying organized, working as part of a team, and keeping hospital departments supplied with the materials they need to provide quality patient care. In this role, you’ll play an important behind-the-scenes part in hospital operations by distributing supplies, restocking inventory, delivering materials throughout the organization, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid New York State driver's license with a driving record consistent with Finger Lakes Health policy.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to perform basic math and understand written instructions.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and pay close attention to detail.
- Professional and courteous approach when working with others.
Nice To Haves
- Previous supply distribution experience.
- Data entry experience.
- Experience driving in inclement weather.
Responsibilities
- Distribute Central Stores supplies to hospital departments and pick up credits daily.
- Monitor supply levels and adjust quantities based on department needs.
- Enter supply distribution data, issues, and credits into the computerized inventory system.
- Stock and rotate inventory and ensure supply requisitions are filled accurately.
- Deliver and transport supplies, specimens, mail, X-rays, and other materials to designated locations.
- Assist with loading dock coverage, receiving deliveries, and operating a pallet jack.
- Operate a cube truck as needed.
- Provide professional and courteous service to staff and departments throughout the organization.
