About The Position

This position is for a Central Sterilization Technician at Samaritan Medical Center, within the 01.7044 SMC CENTRAL STERILIZATI department. The role involves caring for the community and advancing one's career. Non-certified candidates will receive on-the-job training and training manuals to prepare them to sit for the Sterile Tech certification within 18 months of hire. Requirements

• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire
• Certification from the Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Central Sterile Supply or Operating Room preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of instrumentation, medical supplies and medical equipment preferred

Responsibilities

• Ability to use steam and low temperature autoclaves and aeration cabinet
