This role is a Central Sterile Technician position with 40 hours per week, on a rotating day shift from 7:00 am to 8:00 pm, including weekend, holiday, and on-call rotations. The position is located at Tobey Hospital in Wareham, MA.

Requirements

Equal to completion of high school plus additional courses or training.
Requires successful completion of a Central Service training course with certification within two (2) years of employment.
Limited computer skills are required.
Must have Central Services Certification within two (2) years of employment.
Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired.

Nice To Haves

Prior hospital experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of duties including process, sterile and distribute instruments and other supplies in a clean condition.
Ensure that all items processed for sterilization have met the criteria before leaving the department.
Perform other related duties as required including periodic off-site training.
