About The Position

Under the Supervision and Directions of the Perioperative AVP/CSP manager, the Central Sterile Technician performs activities and duties in decontamination, sterilization, case cart preparation, patient care equipment cleaning/distribution, restock of crash carts and other house-wide specialty carts. Must be experienced in the decontamination process and handling of major surgical instrumentation/trays including total joint/orthopedic surgeries, robotic, neurosurgery and other specialties.

Requirements

• High School diploma required
• 3-5 years current Central Sterile experience in a hospital setting required
• CRCST certification required
• Excellent Communication skills, both written and verbal
• Computer skills required
• Ability to lift (up to 25lbs) and pushing of instrument carts
• Ability to stand for long periods of time per diem, various hours
