About The Position

Prepares, distributes and controls sterile and non-sterile supplies, equipment, and instrumentation. Assists the patient care team to provide and maintain customer service focus essential for smooth operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma
• Certification as Certified Registered Central Services Technician (CRCST)
• Must be self-directed and capable to carry out assignments with limited supervision
• Ability to effectively convey verbal and written information
• Ability to follow directions
• Ability to respond to emergency situations appropriately
• Ability to adapt hours of availability to variable and changing needs of the hospital, including all shifts
• Ability to effectively function as a member of a collaborative team
• Ability to organize and manage time effectively, setting appropriate priorities
• Ability to comply with The Joint Commission and OSHA standards
• Ability to be self-directed and capable to carry out assignments with limited supervision
• Ability to assist in on-the-job training of new team members
