About The Position

The Central Sterile Supervisor is responsible for directing the overall service functions of the Central Supply Department. This role requires the ability to move throughout the facility, understand written data, and accurately write alpha and numeric data. The supervisor will manage the procurement of supplies (stock and non-stock), ensure compliance, and control inventory levels and accuracy within the system. Additionally, they will be responsible for directing the department, assessing priorities, and scheduling staff. The role involves communication with a diverse patient population, from pediatrics to geriatrics.

Requirements

Certified registered Central Service Technician (CRCST or CSPDT) required.
Must have at least 2 years’ experience as a Central Sterile Technician in an acute care hospital setting.
Knowledge of decontaminations and sterilization techniques and procedures.
Knowledge of ability to use internet, Microsoft Word and Excel computer systems.
Knowledge and experience in sterile processing principles, infection prevention procedures, JCAHO regulations AAMI and AORN compliance programs.

Nice To Haves

Associate degree in related healthcare field preferred.
Strong supervisory experience preferred.
